libminpack1 software package provides nonlinear equations and nonlinear least squares shared library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libminpack1
libminpack1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libminpack1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libminpack1 *
You will get with libminpack1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
